Decided to head north and check out the weiser state forest. There is a little stream that runs through the forest that has a brook trout population. Unfortunately forgetting it was Sunday + hunting season put a damper in the excursion.
After a grueling 30 minute hike down the side of the mountain I was 70% of the way there. Only to hear gun shots of what I would assume we’re hunters. Given the fact I was wearing no orange undecided it was better to be safe then sorry and turnt around. I checked out some other local views to make use of the time. It was a pretty disappointing outcome but I will be back and this time I will make it to the water.
