Its finally starting to get cold around here in the southeast which to me is a welcomed change. I for one don’t mind the cold, especially when im fishing in it. Theres something different about the silence and numb body parts when youre out alone on a body of water in winter.
Today that day was with my brother. We headed to a local stocked stream early morning and started fishing around 8am. The action was pretty hot all morning. We spent about 4 hours on the stream and landed around 20 fish between the both of us. We must of missed almost as many.
The key today was really anything. Hares ears, zebra midges, anything with a twitch. By noon it started snowing and the wind picked up. At the same time the action was dieing off so we called it a day.
