I recently met two new fishing buddies who live in the Philly area. After realizing we fish alot of the same streams we got to talking and decided we were all up for a native brookie outing on Sunday. It was a bit over an hour drive for all of us to get to the mountain but thats pretty much average for any decent stream in these parts.
We arrived around 9am and fished till 3 or so. The fishing wasnt the best but it wasnt bad either. The overall hookup and landing ratio was pretty poor. That seems to be the case alot of the time with smaller fish and barbless hooks. But it is what it is. Most fish were in the couple inches range however there were two fish that were at least 6 inches that were lost.
All in all the outing was a success and it was nice to get out and breath in some cold mountain air. This leaves only a few more unknown tribs in the blue mountains to explore. Atleast the ones within 2 hours of a drive.
