I’ve been fishing more and more recently. I still have so many streams to get to and feel like there’s so little time. Although I will say my work schedule has it pretty much set so I can fish almost any day of the week ad-hoc.
Most of the streams that are on my list are on average 1-2hr away. This basically means weekend only trips, unless I take a day off. These types of outings take quite a bit of effort from the 5:30am start on the road to the 6 hour long or more fishing and then the 2 hour ride home.
The entire thing from waking up to coming back is straight work. Now im not complaining, im not making it clear to anyone who is getting into the whole public stream exploration game that you should be going into it with 120% effort. The gear, the water, the food, the self defense, etc.
Today i stayed closed to home as I just wanted to keep perfecting my tight lining skills in my urban trout world. And i will say im definitely getting better. Or atleast not getting any worse. Today was a outing on a local preserve where wild brown trout are present, but spooky.
I didnt take much stream side photos, only a few of the fish, but the video is a pretty long one compared to my previous edits. I hope you enjoy the footage!
