I called work quits early today. Well, early as far as the average persons day is concerned anyway. As i’m normally on the computer working anytime from 5-6am for the start of my day.
It was Friday and pretty dead work wise at this point. So I decided 1PM was a good time to finally stop staring at a computer screen. I honestly wasn’t sure If I really wanted to go out as i only had a few hours of day light so that left only a few options. Furthermore in the next few days the majority of special regulation waters were getting their dosage of fish. So it wasnt like tons of fishing wasn’t about to be happening very soon.
I decided to head up to the Lehigh and fish a new section of water I haven’t been to before. There’s so much water to explore up that way but its hard to choose to do so with limited time available. I like to check out new streams or sections when I have close to a whole days worth of time. This allows for thorough covering of said water to make sure you’re confident in what the outcome is, fish or no fish.
In this case I made an exception and decided to do it. Mainly because other more popular sections are so close that if it ended up being slow or non productive I could always just make sure to jump to a few of the other common sections to atleast try to pick up one fish making the hour drive worth it.
Oh, and this officially marks outing #1 for the Orvis Pro waders.
