The end of May is about when I usually call it quits for the stocked season. Definitely when the temperatures are high and the rain is non-existent. Id rather have people harvesting fish come June then watch them belly up after an exhausting fight in luke warm water.
With that being said Andrew and I went out to fish a stocked stream in late May. Not only did we probably hook up into 30+ fish each, we landed a slew of 20″+ 5LB+ pellet heads. Im looking forward to warm water species and wild trout in the coming months.
