I started off bright and early this morning leaving around 5am. It was towards Cumberland Co that I was headed today. A direction I normally dont or have even fished before, West. After a two hour and change ride time I finally arrived at the stream, it was looking low, or at-least what I perceived to be low.
I got geared up and started fishing right away. I started small like I normally do in cold low water, zebra midges and 20 Als rat. Surprisingly It was not resulting in the success I was expecting. The key for the day actually ended up being a pretty big sz 14-16 pheasant tail nymph with a bead.
After a few hours of fishing multiple spots I was able to land a nice combination of stocked and wild fish. With the time left I spent it observing streams looking for spawning trout.
