My last trip i spoke about not getting back out until when some of the DHALO reg streams were getting stocked by the state in the coming weeks. Well I lied. We got a second round of snow on Sunday the 7th. And while I got to fish after the previous snow storm I havent been able to fish during the snow yet this year.
This was my chance to do that. I had 2 hours to get out on a local stream while the snow was still coming down. We were predicted to get about 3-5 inches since the mere AM when it started snowing and it was about to end in the next few hours. I shot over to the stream and geared up.
I told myself, because the pressure has probably been off I would strictly throw a streamer rig to see if I could entice any big fish lurking out in the cloudy snowy conditions. I started doing so but couldnt move any fish. I eventually switched up to a nymph rig and was able to pick one up before I decided to call it quits.
